Hi! Happy Yuletide! I’m so excited to see what you write for me. I’ve done my best to give you some ideas, but of course if there’s something you’ve been dying to write for one of these fandoms, absolutely go for it!
General likes: gen, friendships, found families, team as family, plot, character studies, hurt/comfort, humor, angst, banter, competence, magic, mythology, what-if’s, crossovers (as long as I’m familiar with the other fandom - see my ao3 account and my tumblr). I’m okay with relationships, but I prefer a fade to black before anything gets explicit
Do Not Want’s: explicit sex, rape/non con, A/B/O, soulmates, incest, one-sided pining, Hanahaki disease, mundane AU’s (i.e. coffee shop, high school), reader or author inserts, sickfic, de-aging, accidental child acquisition, major character death. Also, I’d rather not get a Christmas-themed fic.
Awaken the Stars - Jer Keene (Any)
I love the family dynamics in this, between Django and his kids, and also between the siblings. I’m also very much a fan of how competent everyone is, their snark and banter, and also of the magic aspect. If you’re familiar with The Old Guard, this book makes an excellent crossover (I wrote one already but there are still so many possibilities).
Prompts:
* Eric’s time as a fugitive before and/or during his time with Wolf
* What was that incident that Rex refers to that got Django’s kids on the department’s radar
* Moments in the life of the Whetu family
* What happens after the end of Ashlesha? Are they able to meet back up with Euan, and how much trouble do they and Euan get into in the meantime?
Killjoys (TV) (Any)
I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since Killjoys ended! My favorite thing about this show were the characters - the way they all got a chance to grow over the course of it, they ways they clashed and came together, and that their stories are by no means over, even if the show is. I also loved the found family aspect - the RAC as family, Jaq’s many parents as family, the community of Old Town as family, etc.
Prompts:
* The hilarious family dynamics between all of Jaq’s parents, aunts, and uncles
* Any fun bounty hunting mission
* Jaq and Delle Seyah working on their plan to take down the Lady - Jaq’s visions, Delle Seyah taking care of them both and also dealing with the lack of resources that she’s accustomed to
* The epic post-series adventures of Johnny (and Clara/Ollie but she didn’t get nominated this year, whoops, so this is extra-optional!)
* Johnny and Fancy bonding over being Cleansed
* Zeph backstory, or more of stinky-raincoat-pining-for-Dutch!Zeph
The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells (Murderbot, SecUnit 3)
I fell utterly in love with SecUnit 3 when reading Network Effect because when, for the first time in its life it's offered a choice, it decides to help even at risk to itself. And then it just keeps making that choice over and over again, and that makes it a better person than most of the humans in this series. Specific request for this fandom: please use it/its pronouns for SecUnits and also other bots.
Prompts:
* SecUnit 3 making choices (a name, a life goal, a preferred media genre - bonus points if it's one that Murderbot hates and would despair over)
* Movie night with Murderbot, SecUnit 3, and maybe ART
* SecUnit 3, years from now and more settled, helping other SecUnits that have overridden their governor modules
MythQuest (TV) (Any)
I very much enjoyed the whole “modern character thrown into a historical/mythological situation and applying modern solutions and making modern references” thing that Alex always did when he was the one to go into myths, and I loved how smart and brave Cleo was and the clever solutions she was able to come up with by taking advantage of her knowledge of the genre and the myth she was in.
Prompts:
* Alex or Cleo goes into any myth that wasn’t featured on the show
* Philthy finds out about the Cybermuseum and accidentally ends up in a myth (I would absolutely LOVE if it was the myth of Prince Ivan but it doesn’t have to be)
* A conclusion to the cliffhanger at the end of the last episode
