Hi! Happy Yuletide! I’m so excited to see what you write for me. I’ve done my best to give you some ideas, but of course if there’s something you’ve been dying to write for one of these fandoms, absolutely go for it!
General likes: gen, friendships, found families, team as family, plot, character studies, hurt/comfort, humor, angst, banter, competence, magic, mythology, what-if’s, crossovers (as long as I’m familiar with the other fandom - see my ao3 account and my tumblr). I’m okay with relationships, but I prefer a fade to black before anything gets explicit
Do Not Want’s: explicit sex, rape/non con, alpha/beta/omega dynamics, soulmates, incest, one-sided pining, Hanahaki disease, mundane AU’s (i.e. coffee shop, high school), reader or author inserts, sickfic, de-aging, accidental child acquisition, major character death, references to current global events. Also, I’d rather not get a Christmas-themed fic.
The Fugitive (TV 1963) (Richard Kimble, Philip Gerard)
I have many many feelings about Richard Kimble and his ability to reach out and connect with people over and over. Also feelings over the fact that he doesn’t turn his back on society even when it’s failed him and is determined to see him dead. My favorite episodes are ones where Kimble encounters a situation that parallels his own, ones where he faces a particularly tough moral choice, and ones where escape seems particularly hopeless.
I didn't specifically request Donna in my sign-up, but if you want to include her, she is very welcome. I did request both Kimble and Gerard, but if the story you want to write only features one of them, I'm okay with that.
Prompts:
* Any classic situation where Kimble can’t stop himself from helping someone, and gets in trouble for it.
* Kimble and Gerard in some sort of dangerous situation together, where they have to rely on each other to get out of it but also they both keep trying to get the upper hand.
* Fantasy or magical realism AU where Kimble’s skill as a healer is literally magical and maybe so is Gerard’s ability to always find him
MythQuest (TV) (Any)
I very much enjoyed the whole “modern character thrown into a historical/mythological situation and applying modern solutions and making modern references” thing that Alex always did when he was the one to go into myths, and I loved how smart and brave Cleo was and the clever solutions she was able to come up with by taking advantage of her knowledge of the genre and the myth she was in.
Prompts:
* Alex or Cleo goes into any myth that wasn’t featured on the show
* Philthy finds out about the Cybermuseum and accidentally ends up in a myth (I would absolutely love if it was the myth of Prince Ivan but it doesn’t have to be)
* A conclusion to the cliffhanger at the end of the last episode
The Rising World - Martha Wells (Kai, Tenes, Dahin, Tahren)
Major spoilers for Queen Demon!
As soon as Kai started realizing that a demon sacrifice would work to close the Well, I figured that Arnsterath was going to end up being the one who did it, as some sort of redemption. I did NOT expect Tenes to die and for Arnsterath to take her body, or for the book to just end there. I could honestly read an entire novel just about what happens next between them, since there are so many opportunities for angsty situations.
I also continued to enjoy Dahin’s complete lack of tact, as well as his utter loathing of other Immortal Blessed which unfortunately sometimes spills over onto his sister. Dahin seems to have a complete disregard for his own life, and I can’t help wondering how much of that was from how he was raised and how much was from his anger and also his fear.
Notes:
1. You do not need to include all of the characters in the fic (if you would like to, then go ahead). Based on the prompts below, I was kind of picturing two groupings: Kai & Tenes or Dahin & Tahren, with certain characters featuring more heavily based on which direction you prefer to go, but there is no need to stick to those exclusively.
2. Some of the prompts also involve Arnsterath, who is not on the nominated character list, and they are therefore extra optional.
3. The major character death DNW doesn’t count for Tenes because she’s already canonically dead-ish.
Prompts:
* Kai dealing with the fact that Arnsterath is now in Tenes’ body, because it means that Tenes isn’t really fully gone, so he can’t just mourn her and move on. But also, every time Kai sees her body now, there’s someone he (kind of) hates in there, who has incorporated Tenes’ memories and mannerisms into herself. And who can also probably now kill him by choking him with spontaneously-generated flowers.
* I know it’s not how it works, but we’ve also never seen a demon in a witch’s body before, so I think it would be interesting if Tenes’ consciousness managed to linger and she could interact in some way with Arnsterath, and use Arnsterath to communicate with Kai and the others. Would be especially fun if Arnsterath is able to access the memories that Tenes lost.
* Kai mentioned in Witch King that Dahin was caught and held prisoner by the Immortal Blessed at one point during the war while on a mission for Bashasa, and that’s why he refuses to have a heart pearl and let anyone into his head. What happened to him there and how did they find and rescue him?
* Something about the sibling relationship between Tahren and Dahin. I always got a sort of Simon and River Tam from Firefly vibe from them. Obviously, Tahren loved Dahin enough to turn against their entire people to ensure his safety, but most of the time they’re barely on speaking terms with each other (usually Dahin’s fault). What was their relationship like when they were younger? Did they ever have a chance to talk to each other about the fact that they both gave up everything they’d ever known in order to save Dahin’s life?
